High tides ever changing impact on the beach

The huge recent tides have seen a few changes to the beach look lately with a lot of sand on the southern end being removed and exposing a much more rocky surface at the moment.
This Friday the Point also was left currently with some large unusual clumps of seaweed looking like some kind old fashioned Dr Who monster!.


Don’t forget it’s the Burns Supper this Thursday evening

Spittal Improvement Trust have joined together with members of the Berwick United Reformed Church, formerly known as St Paul’s Church, to hold a traditional Burns Supper night in memory of the bard. This will be a traditional Burns Supper night with readings and songs, pipe music as well as haggis,neeps and tatties.
The evening is being held in the Church Hall on Middle Street, Spittal, from 7:30pm.
Tickets are available in the Spittal Shop.

Last chance to get Fundraising Calendars

The last batch of fundraising calendars which feature either “Old Spittal” or “Spittal Views” have just been distributed therefore this will be the last chance to get a copy.

They are available at Spittal Foodstore, Highcliffe Shop, Hope’s Newsagents in Tweedmouth or Grieve’s Stationers in the town centre.
