SPITTAL SPLASH PARK

Splash park layout

Built in 1952, Spittal paddling pool was enjoyed by several generations from the local community and summer visitors to the Berwick area. In 2004/2005, the play area adjacent to Spittal Promenade under went a major refurbishment and this included the paddling pool.  However, in 2008 due to concerns over the quality of the water, the paddling pool was finally closed.  Facing the loss of an important water play facility, Spittal Improvement Trust, Northumberland County Council and Berwick Town Council, worked to bring about the modern Splash Park you see today.  We hope you will enjoy your time here.

The full works were undertaken in 2011 by:

Sun Safe Play Systems Ltd,
